Our history
Island Web Works was set up in 2001 and has since produced websites and web based software for many of the island's leading
companies. We also develop the successful MIGTurbo CRM software, used by many companies on the island and in the UK.
At the outset we were almost exclusively a web site design company. However, over the past few years our focus has shifted to
process automation; we still do web sites, although now we find that clients require us to link their web sites through to
their internal systems.
Many internet technologies are applicable to processes within the business, not just for web sites - with the added advantage that
software developments tend to be much quicker using web technologies. Typically, we aim to go from concept to live system in
three months.
Today, many clients find they need to do more with less and turn to us to help. One way to achieve this is to automate and
improve the efficiency of key business processes. This is now a major part of our business and we are seeing an increased
demand for process automation to deliver business efficiencies. Over the last year, we have increased staff numbers by 60% to
deliver client projects in this area.

Key Contacts
Sales and marketing is led by Charles Douthwaite. Charles is well known in the island's IT industry having previously held senior positions with two major Manx IT companies. With over 20 years experience providing business solutions to the corporate market, Charles' focus centres around Customer Relationship Management and Business Process Re-Engineering solutions; an area of operation he has many years practical experience within.
Our design team is led by Creative Director Andreas Heinakroon. Born in Sweden, Andreas relocated from Finland in May 2001 to join Island Web Works. His wealth of experience brought a fresh Scandinavian perspective to our team and through his focus on highly functional, elegant design, Andreas has been instrumental in both the design and development of our award winning MIGTurbo CRM/BPR software suite and other award winning developments we have undertaken to date.
Software Development is led by Nathan Pledger.
A Chartered IT Professional with a BSc(Hons) in Computer Science and Information Systems, Nathan brings several years commercial development experience utilising various development tools including C#, VISUAL BASIC 6, .NET FRAMEWORK, ASP.NET, XHTML and JAVASCRIPT technologies. Nathan is also an active Member of the British Computer Society interested in Social Marketing, ethical web development and Microsoft technologies.
MIGTurbo KYC/CDD is undertaken by
Carol Kerins. Carol has joined us to concentrate on the MIGTurbo KYC module and to develop compliance orientated workflows within the system. Carol has a Master's degree from the University of Limerick and has worked in senior compliance roles on the island with GAM and CMI.
